Makeup Revolution Lip Liner Collection

As a self confessed lipstick addict, one thing I struggle to find is a good quality lip liner that doesn’t break the bank. As much as I love Mac, when purchasing a lip liner and lipstick it comes to around £28 which makes it more of an investment than a treat. Especially when buying a more brave shade that won’t be warn too regularly such as “Heroine”. So when one of my favourite budget brands Makeup Revolution launched their range of lipliners I knew I had to place an order. They are £1 each, or like myself you can pick up all 8 for £6. That makes them only 75p each, bargain!

The shades are all suitable for, and in some cases colour matched to the range of Iconic Pro lipsticks that launched last month. Which, if you are unsure about you can check out my review on them *here*. Each one comes with a sharpener built into the lid, this means you don’t have to worry about colour contamination.

So, they may be a bargain, but how do they perform? Well, as so can see some shades are more pigmented than others. For example, Vamp looks as if it would be incredibly dark, but it really does have more of a lighter purple colour than expected. Cherry Red is one that seems to build up with a lot more ease. But, for the price, they are incredible. The go on really smoothly with no dragging.

All in all, these are well worth having in your makeup bag and I’ll definitely be excited to see if they release more colours to go along side the Iconic Pro lipstick range.

  • 8 for £6 is amazing value! Even if some aren't as pigmented as they look, it's still good for preventing lipstick from bleeding out. I love that they come with pencil sharpeners too.

  • I love the sound of these – especially at that price! Totally agree with you that going high end on something like lip liners can feel especially indulgent, so these seem like the perfect alternative! I love how you swatched them in little hearts btw, so cute!
