#WimbledonSummerParty || Ladbroke’s Wimbledon Summer Party

Working near to Wimbledon means that July means one thing to me, Tennis! Despite my commute grumbles at the hoards of people on the District Line, it really is one of my favourite times of the year. Everywhere is decked out in purple and green with gratuitous amounts of tennis memorabilia and lunch times are no longer all about sitting at my desk with  a sandwich and instead spent watching the action from the court on the big screen. So when I was contacted  about the Wimbledon Summer Party I knew it would be right up my street.

I mean how cute are these invites!!

So before I could get over exited about the party and seeing some of my favourite bloggers, I had a mini crisis.. I realised I owned no white clothes. As someone who’s prone to spilling green tea down her on her commute, black tends to be my colour of choice. As I was looking online I decided on this white and black dress dress from Boohoo. To be honest, despite the bargain price tag I didn’t feel comfortable in it and would be much more suited to someone with a smaller bust.

My outfit and having a cheeky Wimbledon themed cocktail at All Bar One before getting ready

So, on to the night itself! I headed over to Bank to meet Laura C, Laura H (Cliff!) and Lauren for some last minute getting ready and selfie stick photos obviously.. Where we had some uber related drama (still a touchy subject..) and finally found ourselves at Martha’s Bar downstairs in Williamson’s Tavern with a lovely warm welcome Carrie and Victoria who made sure we had a bubbly or a pimms in hand ready to mingle with the other bloggers.

Some of the yummy food and drinks!

After catching up with some familiar faces such as Bec Boop, Mona, Hayley and of course the lovely Jenny from Dream In Pink, the games began, starting with a Wimbledon themed quiz. Who would have known bloggers could be so competitive huh?!

Needless to say, my Wimbledon knowledge was little rusty, but I gave it my best shot!

After the quiz we played “Tennis Pong” think beer pong with mini tennis balls and attempted to crack the strawberry shaped piñata. I can tell you for a fact that piñata survived some pretty strong hits not all from me honest before finally cracking.

After the games were done we had awards for each game and the quiz. Laura won a bottle of Lanson for her Tennis Pong efforts and I won a bottle of Pims for my *cough* enthusiasm? at the piñata. Woo hoo!

After all the excitement and getting a little too into taking selfies with the Andy Murray cut out we had time for one last group selfie before heading off with these gorgeous sweeties in hand. Both Lauras, Lauren, Jenny and myself headed out on the hunt for a Macdonalds before heading home. But why that was such an adventure is another story..

Thanks again to the team, especially Carrie & Victoria for a fantastic evening!
