With being such a hectic, tiring week, I almost didn’t get round to posting this week’s week in lipsticks. But thankfully, on Tuesday night I finally got a little of my blogging mojo back. Typical that after I wrote a post about how to get inspired to blog, mine completely goes. To be fair though, that’s mostly down to a few outside factors. Anyway! Back to the now, here’s what I’ve been up to (& wearing) this week;
Wednesday – Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow & Arrow. Originally, I’d booked a half day off so that I could go for brunch with Leah. However, due to the train strikes and how it would be even harder to get home with our tendency to drink too much wine, we decided to reschedule. With getting over the flu, it actually came in handy that I forgot to cancel it in the end. Especially as an invite to #WSPaintItBlack dropped into my inbox. So after work I headesd over to the Mayfair Hotel to look at the new collection (& I got to mingle with some of the Made In Chelsea cast – woohoo!). But more on that in another post..
Thursday – Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Metallic Liquid Lipstick in Cherry Bomb. I can not begin to tell you how awesome Thursday was. My dad got given a pair of complimentary tickets to Biffy Clyro at the O2 and as I’m a huge fan, he took me as his plus one. (He’s too cool for his own good sometimes!) I wanted to wear something bright that would last through me singing along I picked Cherry Bomb. By the end of the night, it was still pretty much untarnished. A-maz-ing.
Friday – Mac Matte Lipstick in Please Me. After the last nights bold lip, I decided something a bit more demure was in order. Looking for Mehr in my lipstick box I accidentally picked up Please Me and well, wondered why I don’t wear it more. It’s a gorgeous day time colour and I love a “your lips but better” pink.
Saturday – The Body Shop Matte Lip Liquid in Paris. Saturday was spent with my friend Chloe catching up over a coffee at Portobello Road. Chatting about our festive plans and laughing over the
lack of Christmas lights. I wanted something bright with lasting power and this was just right for the job.
Sunday – Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Serenity. After finally getting some blog photography done, I wanted to try out this little beauty. I’d been meaning to pick it up since hearing such amazing things about the formula, and I was not at all disappointed. (& I went for a Franco Manca in the evening, the best way to finish off a chilled out Sunday. Well if you ask me anyway!)
Monday – Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips in Kim K.W. You know how I said that I’d been busy photographying on the Sunday? Along with some of my Gerard Cosmetics goodies I finally got photos of the Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick I picked up over a week before. I love the Matte Revolution formula. So safe to say I had high hopes for this little beauty. (Inspired by the one and only Kim Kardasian – if the name didn’t give away!) I would tell you my thoughts, but thats for a post next week. *wink*
Tuesday – Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Berlin. This colour is one of my favourites, for good reason. I had no particular reason to make an effort, but trying to get a little more in the festive spirt. Well a red toned colour is always a winner..
Another week that, despite my self enforced “makeup spending ban” features more new additions than it probably should. Oops. Again, I’ve been favouring the matte lips. When being winter I should probably be a little bit kinder to my lips. Oh well, I mean there’s always next week..
