Towards the end of March I found myself after a stressful day with the compulsive urge to buy a treat or two. Normally, I’d just settle with a bubble bath and maybe even a glass of wine but this time. However this time, I’d been reading about the L.A Girl concealers, was having a bad skin day and decided that now was the ideal time to give them a try. So, I logged online and found them stocked at Just My Look. Somehow two of the concealers and two Milani metallic matte lipstick somehow fell into my basket. And I don’t know how but my I accidentally my card details found themselves entered… Oops.
Since this was my first time not only ordering from Just My Look but trying L.A Girl & Milani, I thought I’d justify my splurge by writing about it;
L.A Girl Pro Conceal High Definition Concealer
The first thing in my basket was two of the L.A Girl Pro Conceal High Definition Concealers. After hearing so much buzz around them, I couldn’t resist. I picked up porcelain for my under eyes and the green colour corrector for under my foundation.
These have quickly made their way into my daily routine, although the first time I used the green was a bit of a disaster. I didn’t realise just how little you needed to counter act any redness and ended up looking more like The Hulk than achieving the flawless look I was after. Oops. With the brush applicator it’s easy to go heavy handed and so, now I apply a small amount to the back of my hand and go from there. It really does make a huge difference in reducing redness before I apply my foundation. With the Porcelain concealer, I use this under my eyes making the brush applicator perfect.
Seriously, I don’t know how it took me so long to try these and I completely understand why so many bloggers hail them as a holy grail product. At £3.95 each, I’ll definitely be repurchasing!
Milani Amore Mattallics Lip Cream
After scrolling through the L.A Girl section, I ended up having a nosey at the selection of Milani goodies on offer. As I’m a total sucker for a matte lipstick and loving the metallic matte trend I couldn’t resist two of the Milani Amore Mattallics Lip Creams. I picked up Automatic Touch which is a purple-toned pink and Pretty Problem which is a deep plummy red. I’m still testing these out, so I can’t say for sure how they rank up against Jeffree Star’s metallic formula, but so far so good!
